This time of year it seems every day is a “day!”  There’s Halloween.  There’s Veteran’s Day.  There’s the “most traveled day of the year!”  There’s Thanksgiving.  There’s Black Friday.  There’s Small Business Saturday.  There’s Game Day Sunday, Monday Night Football.  While they all hold significance in their own way, today may be one of the most important, #GIVINGTUESDAY.  

The premise of the day, which started by an organization called 92nd Street Y in New York City, is to use the power of social media to encourage humanity to give back or give a little extra in some way on this one day.  It doesn’t have to be anything big – maybe it is buying the person behind you a cup of coffee, maybe it is reading an extra book to your little guys at home, maybe it is donating some outgrown clothes to charity, or maybe it is writing a check to an organization that is close to your heart.   No matter the outreach, just take the time to do something.
